Commissioner Vacancy
Emilio Sanelli, who has served as Commissioner of the Colorado Senior Softball Association (CSSA) since 2000, has given notice of his retirement as Commissioner effective October 31, 2010. The CSSA Board is seeking candidates for the Commissioner position. Duties include being the focal point for the organization; organizing and planning Board meetings and managers meetings; maintaining the mailing lists of all managers and recreation coordinators; receiving all organization's forms (team registration, rosters, waivers, etc.) and payments of league fees; purchase supplies (softballs, score books, etc.) as required; coordinate various Board committees and make assignments of Board members to committees; and any other duties as may arise in the functioning of the organization. Anyone interested in being considered for the Commissioner position should contact Emilio Sanelli at 303-455-7719 for more information. Nominations and applications for the Commissioner position are due by June 20, 1010.
Next Board Meeting
The next CSSA Board meeting will be held on Friday Sept. 17, 2010, at 9:00 AM, at the Highlands Senior Center, 2880 Osceolo, Denver, CO 80212. Team managers are invited to attend.
Fall Manager's Meeting
The Fall Manager's meeting is tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 22, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at the Denver Elks Lodge #17, 2475 W 26th Avenue, Denver, CO. At this meeting, plans for the 2011 season will be discussed, and proposals for rules changes will be discussed and voted on. Team managers are strongly encouraged to attend, or have a team representative attend.
USED SOFTBALLS FOR SALE
Need some softballs to practice with? USED SOFTBALLS FOR SALE. CSSA has used softballs used during the 2009 tournaments for sale at a price of $10 per dozen. If interested, contact Emilio Sanelli at 303-455-7719.
